Starting a new book is exciting. Finishing one is something else entirely. When I begin a new story, the possibilities are wide open. New scenes, new ideas, new mysteries, and new characters could lead anywhere. Early momentum makes me feel like I will finish in record time.

Since 2021, I have slowly been working on the sequel to Sylas Sterling and the Lucas County Curse . Recently, I have been making progress on the book, along with a few other writing-related projects.

I have continued working on the second Sylas Sterling novel. I’ve written about 2,250 words so far. The first book was nearly 49,000 words, so I still have a ways to go.

While promoting my first novel, I haven’t written much new material. Today, I wrote 711 words and officially got started on the sequel to Sylas Sterling and the Lucas County Curse . I do have another work in progress that I plan to return to occasionally, but it feels good to be moving forward with Sylas again.
