J. Allen Tucker holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Anthropology. He has written for several newspapers and blogs. He, his wife, and their rescue dog live in Missouri.

He has been known to geek out. His debut novel, Sylas Sterling and the Lucas County Curse, was published in 2021. The follow-up, Sylas Sterling and the Season of the Shroud, was released in 2024.
